Tascam gets up to speed with the TSQD-128A SDXC card

Working in collaboration with the media manufacturer, Tascam’s TSQD-128A SDXC media card supports the UHS-I (Ultra High Speed) standard that increases the speed of the bus interface to deliver a maximum transfer rate of 95Mbps (read) and 85Mbps (write).

Fixed components such as control ICs and memory devices are verified to work with Tascam products, although the company states the card can also be used with non-Tascam high capacity SDXC-compatible devices.

By conducting in-house media evaluations and selecting media which is IC resistant to repeated random access, Tascam says that file fragmentation and slow random access that can occur with repeated use is also improved. The TSQD-128A SD card supports the UHS-I (Ultra High Speed) standard and provides a minimum speed class of 30Mbps with support for UHS Speed Class 3 and Video Speed Class V30.

Each TSQD-128A card is checked and pre-formatted before shipment to ensure optimum performance, making them ready for use immediately with guaranteed compatibility.
