Barco and Midwich launch APAC distribution deal

APAC:

Barco has selected Midwich Group as its official distributor for projection and image processing products across several key APAC markets.

The move aims to significantly expand the manufacturer’s regional presence, while empowering local systems integrators and end-users to deliver immersive environments across sectors such as themed entertainment, simulation, live events, corporate experience centres and education.

Part of the global Midwich Group, Midwich is a specialist trade-only audiovisual distributor bringing expertise in distribution, logistics, channel support and AV integration across APAC. This new contract includes agreements with the company’s branches in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Through the partnership, Barco gains access to the distributor’s local network of systems integrators, resellers and technology partners – enhancing service, support and availability of the Belgian company’s projection and image processing portfolio in the region.

The deal will provide customers and businesses in the agreed locales with new opportunities to acquire the brand’s ProAV technology, including the flagship projectors from the G series, I series, QDX series and the image processing range including the Encore3.

“Partnering with Midwich marks a significant step for Barco in the APAC region,” said Jasline Tay, regional sales head APAC, Barco Singapore. “Midwich’s deep knowledge of the AV channel, their strong local support network and dedication to the professional AV market makes them the ideal partner to help take our visualisation solutions to the next level.”

David McIntyre, APAC commercial manager at Midwich Australia, added: “Barco’s technology has a reputation for delivering ‘wow’ moments and high-performance visualisation. Our team is excited to support the integrator community in delivering these solutions with excellence – creating more immersive experiences for customers across the region.”

Claudio Cardile, ANZ sales director at Midwich APAC, concluded: “We’re thrilled with this partnership and excited to bring truly immersive visual experiences to our customers. This collaboration combines Barco’s innovative projection and visualisation technology with Midwich’s unmatched channel expertise – empowering our partners to transform spaces, inspire audiences and deliver unforgettable experiences everywhere.”
