NDI appoints JRS as distribution partner for China
NDI has appointed Shenzhen-based Jiaruisen (JRS) as its official distribution partner for China as the company looks to strengthen local support and accelerate adoption of its IP video technology across the country’s pro AV manufacturing sector. Under the agreement, JRS will provide commercial and technical support for Chinese manufacturers and developers integrating NDI into products such as cameras, decoders, converters, switchers, displays and audio devices. The company will also manage licensing in local currency alongside product evaluation and certification services, creating a fully localised commercial framework designed to simplify adoption for domestic OEMs.
“China represents one of the most important growth opportunities for IP innovation,” said Charles Dobson, business development director at NDI. “By partnering with JRS, we are creating a true ‘in-China, for-China' model that simplifies how manufacturers adopt NDI. Local invoicing, local support and local technical coordination remove friction, accelerate product development and reduce time to market.”
JRS brings to the table established relationships across China’s professional video and networking sectors. “Our mission is to help Chinese manufacturers innovate faster and they need partners that can move with them,” said Frank Zhong, founder and CEO of JRS. “NDI has become a foundational technology in IP video workflows worldwide. Through this partnership, we can now provide the localised commercial structure and technical support necessary to accelerate adoption across Mainland China.”
The partnership is further supported by the recent appointment of Holden Guo as vice general manager at JRS. Widely recognised in China’s AV over IP community, Guo will help strengthen technical engagement with manufacturers integrating NDI into next-generation video products. As the partnership develops, both companies expect continued growth as Chinese manufacturers integrate NDI into cameras, encoders, decoders, switchers and display technologies aimed at both domestic and international markets.
