SAW Namibia completes Logitech-based boardroom upgrade
Stage Audio Works (SAW) Namibia has delivered a conferencing system upgrade for an insurance company’s headquarters, focusing on standardised AV integration built around Logitech solutions.
The project centred on updating existing meeting spaces while aligning with the client’s established use of Logitech systems. According to Emcé Smit, technical manager at SAW Namibia, the company was engaged following renewed discussions with the client. “We have known this client for a long time and recently reached out to reconnect,” he said. “When they told us that upgrades were needed for their existing system, we were ready to assist. The client already had a good idea of what was required, with only a couple of brainstorming sessions required to finalise the equipment list.”
A key aspect of the integration was the transition to Microsoft Teams Rooms. In the main boardroom, SAW Namibia implemented a Logitech-based Teams Room system, combining new components with elements of the existing installation. The approach was intended to support continuity while improving usability for hybrid collaboration.
A second meeting space was also equipped with a Logitech conferencing system, including a Rally Bar Mini, Rally Mic Pod and Tap IP control interface. The room was configured as a Microsoft Teams Room on Android, maintaining consistency with the organisation’s broader technology standards.
Installation took place alongside wider refurbishment works within the building, including new lighting and interior modifications. “As part of the wider building upgrade, the meeting space was being completely refurbished with custom joinery and new lighting to modernise the space,” Smit explained. “The only challenge we faced during this project was the extremely tight deadline. We were very dependent on the other subcontractors completing their tasks before we could proceed with our own installation work.” Despite scheduling constraints, the project was completed within the required timeframe.
SAW Namibia sees the upgrade as an example of its dedication to long-term partnerships and delivering future-ready environments for its clients. “We aim to be more than a service provider; our customers rely on SAW Namibia as a dependable partner dedicated to safeguarding and strengthening their projects every step of the way,” concluded Smit. “Customer centricity is one of our core values and we take pride in offering reliable, long-term support whenever it’s needed.”
