According to the integrator, the venue required a lighting system capable of supporting a broader range of productions while improving brightness, colour consistency and long-term operational reliability. “Our goal was to deliver a future-proof lighting system that meets the exceptionally high technical and artistic standards of the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace of Culture and Labour,” commented Dinh Viet Hung, CEO of Stage Professional Company Limited. “The Martin MAC Viper XIP offered the ideal balance of power, precision and durability for a permanent installation of this scale.”
The installation includes 10 Martin MAC Viper XIP moving-head fixtures. The IP54-rated luminaires were selected in part for their suitability in permanent installations operating under continuous use.
The Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace of Culture and Labour in Ha Noi has completed a stage lighting upgrade centred around Martin Professional MAC Viper XIP fixtures, marking what is said to be the first permanent large-scale theatre installation of the fixture in Vietnam. Delivered by Stage Professional Company Limited, which acted as both distributor and systems integrator, the project modernises one of Vietnam’s best-known cultural venues. Opened in 1985, the complex includes a 1,100-seat theatre used for artistic performances, conferences and national events.
The commissioning process involved fixture positioning, calibration and programming adjustments designed to optimise stage coverage and integration with the venue’s existing infrastructure. Stage Professional Company Limited worked closely with the venue’s technical team to optimise brightness levels, movement profiles and colour performance for both theatrical productions and live event applications.
“The upgraded stage lighting system with the Martin MAC Viper XIP has brought significant improvement to the quality of performances,” added Pham Tuan Anh, director of the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace of Culture and Labour. “With powerful brightness, accurate colours and flexible operation, the system enables us to host a wide range of large-scale artistic programmes and high-level events.”
