PAMA and Shure open applications for Mark Brunner Scholarship
The Professional Audio Manufacturers Alliance (PAMA), in partnership with Shure Incorporated, is accepting applications for the sixth annual Mark Brunner Professional Audio Scholarship, with submissions open until 31 May 2026.
The scholarship programme is available to students worldwide pursuing studies in professional audio through accredited education programmes. Scholarships of up to US$2,000 per recipient will be awarded.
The initiative honours the legacy of Mark Brunner, former Shure executive, founding PAMA member and former PAMA president, who passed away in 2020. According to PAMA, the scholarship reflects Brunner’s long-standing focus on education, mentorship and industry development. Applicants are encouraged to outline how they intend to share their knowledge with others as part of their professional development within the audio industry.
“A former president of PAMA from 2011-2013, Brunner provided a consistent voice to the strategic implementation of various PAMA activities,” stated the organisation. During his career at Shure, Brunner held several senior positions including vice president of global corporate and government relations, while also contributing to industry discussions surrounding wireless spectrum and professional audio regulation.
