WyreStorm deployed at Sydney’s The Bergs

Following a major renovation of the former Bondi Icebergs hospitality venue, WyreStorm’s NetworkHD AV-over-IP technology has been deployed as part of a multi-zone AV installation at The Bergs in Sydney. The project was delivered by Showtime Production Services and was designed to support a wide range of simultaneous hospitality and entertainment applications across the site.

The venue required a flexible video distribution system capable of routing different content sources to multiple areas throughout the property, including live television, streaming services and local inputs. According to the integrator, the system also needed to remain simple for staff to operate while allowing future expansion as the venue evolves.

At the core of the installation is a WyreStorm NetworkHD platform comprising nine NHD-120-TX AVoIP encoder units, two NHD-120-RX decoder units, two NHD-150-RX multiview decoders and an NHD-CTL-PRO-V2 controller. The system distributes video content across LCD displays and custom LED screens throughout the venue.

The AV-over-IP infrastructure is supported by NETGEAR AV Line PoE switching, while tablet-based control interfaces provide simplified day-to-day operation for venue staff. The modular architecture also allows additional displays, sources and zones to be added without significant infrastructure changes.
