Void Acoustics appoints Loud Technologies Asia
Void Acoustics has announced Loud Technologies Asia (LTA) as its exclusive distributor for Singapore. Founded in 2015, and led by CEO Colin Quek, LTA has established itself as a prominent distributor of professional audio and AV technology in the Southeast Asian region. Focusing on high-end distribution, e-commerce and technical support for brands including Music Tribe – Behringer, Midas, Lake and Tannoy – PTZ Optics, RF Venue, Cloud Electronics, Audinate, RDL and Sonance, the company launched an online business model in 2019 which catapulted its business during the pandemic.
With this appointment in Singapore, Void Acoustics has effectively filled the gap in its regional representation. “Singapore is often seen as a barometer and reference of success in Southeast Asia,” confirmed Void Acoustics APAC sales manager Fedrick Lu.
LTA CEO Colin Quek continued: “Void Acoustics could have selected one of several capable and competent parties in Singapore, so naturally we are excited to be representing this premier UK brand.”
Following the installation of a Venu loudspeaker system in the upmarket Korean cocktail and dining venue Bartenders of Pony (BOP), part of the famous Jigger & Pony group, LTA received notable interest from high-end residential customers. “We’ve never experienced such a reaction on this scale before and I believe that we can further develop this vertical by engaging with less familiar systems integrators,” noted Quek. “In addition to hospitality and retail, I am optimistic that LTA is well-positioned to serve this market in Singapore.”
Lu confirmed that the appointment of LTA was assured following an initial conversation with Quek. “LTA is not just another distributor looking to make a quick profit and this is exemplified by the excellent technical engineers in their service department," he said. "Void Acoustics strives to work with distributors and systems integrators whose values and ethics align with our own.”
