Christie partners with China Film Equipment for ICIF

Christie Digital recently partnered with China Film Equipment (CFEC) for the 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF). Both parties collaborated to deliver trainings for CFEC’s China Film Sparkle programme, which was followed by the screening of the students’ award-winning short films at the CINESKY cinema in Qianhai.

The China Film Sparkle programme aims to inspire tertiary students to pursue careers in the cinema and filmmaking industry. Harry Zhang, product manager for China Cinema, Christie, led the training sessions covering the history, development, current trends and technology of cinema projection. Christie’s CP4415-RGB pure laser projectors were utilised during the sessions to screen film trailers.

Created in conjunction with ICIF, the CINESKY cinema event was attended by over 150 customers, partners and film industry professionals in the South China region and included the screening of the award-winning short films produced by the students of the China Film Sparkle programme. The event also saw the premier of the Christie CineLife+ RBe cinema projector series to customers, partners and members of the cinema fraternity in southern China.
