RTM chooses Vislink for tower infrastructure upgrade

Vislink has announced its partnership with Malaysian national broadcaster, Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) worth over USD$1m. The alliance will see the integration of an advanced Vislink system in a significant infrastructure upgrade of RTM’s Kuala Lumpur Tower facilities.

Through the agreement, the manufacturer will deploy its 4K UHD portable IP-based transmission solution, incorporating the Quantum Encoder and bi-directional IP links. This setup will enable RTM to deliver 4K UHD video from remote locations across Kuala Lumpur, providing a streamlined real-time experience for live media broadcasts across RTM’s nationwide television channels. Moreover, the modular and scalable solution will support the broadcaster’s future migration to IP-based workflows and higher resolutions.
