CueScript and LDG expand partnership under shared ownership
Teleprompting solutions manufacturer CueScript and lighting design and studio build-out firm the Lighting Design Group (LDG) have announced an expanded partnership as sister companies under the common ownership of BASE Equity Partners.
Both companies noted that their operations, leadership, teams and customer service levels will remain unchanged. Through the move, they will continue to operate independently but leverage their expertise and resources to amplify growth opportunities. The new relationship aims to create a synergy for the businesses to introduce their respective services and technologies to a broader customer base.
While CueScript and LDG deliver different products and services – teleprompting and lighting – both are key elements that contribute to on-air presentations. CueScript is widely recognised for its range of prompting systems used in news, sports, entertainment and corporate production environments. Meanwhile, LDG has built a reputation for its lighting design across television studios, broadcast facilities and major media productions.
“CueScript has always understood the need to deliver the technical excellence required by engineering and IT teams as well as the on-air talent,” noted Michael Accardi, president of CueScript. “LDG shares that same philosophy through its lighting expertise. Being able to introduce our customers to a partner that understands the visual demands of broadcast production is a natural fit and we’re excited about the opportunities this creates for both organisations and the clients we serve.”
Steve Brill, founder of LDG, added: “Lighting and prompting both play a vital role in creating confident, compelling on-camera performances. CueScript has long been a trusted name in prompting and we look forward to strengthening a relationship that allows us to support more productions together while continuing to deliver the same high level of service our clients expect.”
