Redge Technologies completes asset deal with NativeWaves

Redge Technologies has announced it has completed an asset deal with Austrian company NativeWaves AG. Through the move, Redge Technologies has acquired full intellectual property rights to the NativeWaves EXP software – an interactive video experience platform – as well as a portfolio of patents associated with the solution.

NativeWaves EXP has been designed to enable content providers to create interactive, personalised video experiences. The system offers multiview functionality allowing viewers to switch between camera angles, instant replays, live data integration and interactive elements that engage audiences during live event broadcasts. These capabilities aim to enable broadcasters to increase viewer engagement, extend watch time and unlock new monetisation models through interactive content formats. The platform is complemented by automated Content Orchestration technology, which manages transcoding and distribution workflows across multiple regions simultaneously to provide low latency and scalability.

The acquired patent portfolio, registered across multiple international jurisdictions, covers solutions in audio and video stream synchronisation and multimedia content distribution.

Redge Technologies believes that the acquisition will enhance its positioning in the OTT sector, with a particular focus on solutions dedicated to sports broadcasting. NativeWaves EXP technology is already being used by a prominent broadcaster in Poland and Redge Technologies sees significant potential for further scaling of the solution in both domestic and international markets.

“Acquiring the rights to NativeWaves EXP is a milestone for us,” said Przemysław Frasunek, CEO of Redge Technologies. “It is a platform that perfectly complements our technology portfolio and allows us to offer clients a complete next-generation OTT ecosystem – from streaming infrastructure to advanced, interactive viewer experiences. We see tremendous potential in this technology, particularly in the context of sports broadcasting, where audience engagement and content personalisation are becoming key differentiators.”

Looking ahead, the manufacturer plans to further develop the NativeWaves EXP platform, enriching it with new functionalities and integrations with its own technology ecosystem. The company intends to expand the solution’s application to new markets and segments, including sports, live entertainment and television broadcasters.
