Shure adds transmission mode to Axient Digital PSM

Shure has released a firmware update for Axient Digital PSM that introduces a new digital transmission mode alongside expanded CueMode functionality for monitor engineers and live production workflows. The update adds Single Carrier Narrowband, a transmission option designed to provide a workflow more closely aligned with traditional analogue IEM systems while retaining the low latency and spectrum efficiency of a digital platform.

Intended for productions where RF coordination time or antenna infrastructure is limited, the mode is designed to offer greater resilience in challenging environments including reflective stages and compact performance spaces. Axient Digital PSM continues to support wideband, narrowband and analogue FM operation, allowing mixed transmission workflows within the same production.

CueMode has also been updated to support multiple transmission modes simultaneously. Engineers can now preview CueMode entries before applying changes, with navigation between different setups streamlined for productions using varied monitoring configurations. The firmware update is available through ShureCloud and Shure Update Utility.
