Jim Bakker joins S-Track to support EMEA expansion

EMEA:

DSP manufacturer S-Track has appointed industry veteran Jim Bakker to the newly created position of senior technical consultant and business developer for Europe and the Middle East. Based in Shenzhen, S-Track develops digital signal processing solutions for the professional AV market and is looking to expand its presence across both regions.

Bakker joins the company with more than 25 years of industry experience, having previously spent a decade at Harman followed by 15 years with Lectrosonics. His responsibilities will include sales support, customer engagement and the development of a regional distribution network, which he identified as an immediate priority.

“I’ve always been interested in DSP and S-Track is a very good DSP company, so it’s a pleasure to work with them and get them introduced into the European and Middle East market,” commented Bakker at the recent Pro Light + Sound Guangzhou show where S-Track had a substantial presence. “The first thing to do is set up a distribution network and then help make those partners as self-sufficient as possible.”

According to Jubilee Bao, director of international sales at S-Track, the appointment forms part of the company’s wider international growth strategy. “It’s very good to have Jim Bakker join us as S-Track continues to grow its global market,” said Bao. “It is very important to have someone in Europe and the Middle East who can bring connections to the local market. Jim is very experienced in market development and also has extensive experience in building distribution networks, so he is perfect for the role.”
