Industry veteran Sam Craig has re-joined Grass Valley in the role of vice president, global pre-sales. In this position, he will lead the company’s international pre-sales organisation, supporting regional teams while driving alignment across tools, processes and customer engagement strategies globally.

Most recently, Craig served as vice president of advisory services at Diversified, where he led the company’s technical consultancy and solutions organisation. Prior to this, he spent seven years at Grass Valley, serving in multiple leadership positions including vice president, global pre-sales.

At Grass Valley, Craig will work closely with regional pre-sales leadership across the Americas, APAC and EMEA to further strengthen collaboration, standardise best practices and support strategic customer initiatives to accelerate adoption across the Grass Valley Media Universe.

“Sam brings a unique combination of technical expertise, operational leadership and deep knowledge of the media technology industry,” said Tim Banks, chief revenue officer at Grass Valley. “Having previously played an important role in the evolution of our global pre-sales organisation, he understands both our customers and our business. We are thrilled to welcome him back to the team.”

He boasts more than two decades of experience spanning broadcast engineering, enterprise AV, live production, IP-based media infrastructure and cloud-enabled workflows. Throughout his career, Craig has held leadership and technical roles across systems integration, broadcast operations and media technology organisations, helping customers translate complex technical requirements into scalable operational solutions.

“Our customers are navigating a rapidly evolving media landscape and they need trusted partners who can help them move forward with confidence,” remarked Craig. “Grass Valley’s unique combination of software-defined innovation, proven mission-critical hardware and deep workflow expertise gives customers a practical path to modernise, transform their operations and protect their investments. I’m thrilled to be returning at such an important time and to help accelerate the impact we can deliver for customers around the world.”
