Broadcast Electronics appoints David Sparano

David Sparano has joined Broadcast Electronics (BE) in the position of chief technology officer, responsible for the company’s technology strategy, product development and innovation initiatives. The appointment follows BE’s recent acquisition by a growth-focused US-based investor group and majority investor The Alzana Group.

Sparano brings to the company extensive technology knowledge and a rich broadcast history, having held multiple senior technology and customer service leadership roles at Harris, GatesAir, Comark and Thomson. Backed by multiple Masters of Engineering degrees and US patents, he led the development of multiple generations of award-winning products for FM, DAB and digital television used by thousands of broadcasters around the globe.
