Middle East:

Martin Professional Middle East (MPME) has invested in 100 Barco QDX-4K45 projectors as part of an expansion of its rental and installation portfolio, with delivery and rollout scheduled for the second half of 2026.

The agreement follows MPME’s recent appointment as an official Barco distributor for the Middle East and builds on a longstanding partnership between the two companies across live events, themed entertainment and projection mapping projects.

According to Barco, the investment will increase local availability of its three-chip projection platform and support growing demand for 4K projection solutions in the region. The companies said the expanded fleet will help rental companies requiring immediate access to projection equipment across the Middle East.

The QDX-4K45 projectors are used in applications including large-scale events, cultural landmarks, themed attractions and immersive experiences. One recent deployment was at the Liwa Sign in the Al Dhafra desert, UAE, where Martin Professional used Barco QDX projectors to create a permanent nighttime projection-mapped installation on the landmark structure.

Bilal Assidi, sales director at MPME, said: “By adding 100 QDX-4K45 projectors to our fleet, we’re strengthening our ability to support ambitious creative projects – from touring productions to complex permanent outdoor installations – while giving our customers confidence in both image quality and operational efficiency.”

Domien De Witte, VP sales Barco IX, added: “This agreement marks a natural next step in our closely aligned strategies. The investment in 100 QDX-4K45 units reflects strong confidence in high-resolution, high-brightness projection that’s built to last. We’re proud to continue supporting Martin Professional as they help customers push creative and technical boundaries across the region.”
