Gracia Auvindo enhances its gastronomic credentials

Previously an overgrown pond in Jakarta’s Kemayoran district, Arena Lakeside has been transformed into a hospitality landscape. Balancing ecology with leisure, the site recently opened its doors to several restaurants including Massilia Cucina Italiana and Seribu Rasa. In addition to attracting travelling motorists, the scenic outpost is also a hit with the locals, including neighbourhood audio specialists Gracia Auvindo.

Like the surrounding wetlands, the audio solution demanded a balance, including value engineering, excellent BGM qualities and unobtrusive aesthetics. The resultant Tannoy SAT3 loudspeaker solution specified by Gracia Auvindo was reported to tick those boxes without compromise. Almost invisible to the eye in the recesses and corners of the indoor restaurant, six 25W 2.5-inch passive full-range satellite speakers provide uniform 265 x 265-degree coverage throughout the room. Extending the frequency response below 200Hz, the diminutive speakers are augmented in the lower frequencies by two high, wall-mounted Sat Sub Slimline 6.5-inch subwoofers.

Powered by a Lab.gruppen 2402 240W dual-channel amplifier, diners in the outdoor patio area are addressed by three Ecler eMOTUS 5OD cabinets. With IP65 protection against dust and water, the compact speaker conceals its ports located behind a rubber cover. The integrated power selector switch allows a choice of high or low impedance operation and the nominal impedance of 8 ohms provides loss-free audio transmission over short distances. Ecler IC8 speakers have been discreetly inserted into the ceilings of the VIP rooms for higher power performance.

Complementing the 10 existing locations across Jakarta and Bekasi, the neighbouring Seribu Rasa restaurant at Arena Lakeside Kemayoran blends Indonesian and Southeast Asian cuisine. Dining comfort is enhanced by the natural vibe of the location, blended with a contemporary wooden interior and soft lighting. The unique ambience that distinguishes it from other branches includes the audio design delivered by Gracia Auvindo. The same Tannoy SAT3 loudspeaker solution has once again been integrated into the spacious 130-seat main dining area. Additionally, three exclusive private rooms, each accommodating up to 10 people, can receive their own dedicated source of music from wall-mounted Ecler eMOTUS 5OD enclosures.

An outdoor stage in front of the lake draws crowds at the weekends. For this attraction, Gracia Auvindo supplied a dBTechnologies portable system comprising Opera 10 cabinets and a Sub 615 subwoofer. Audio mixing is conducted from a Midas M32R console control surface.
