HK Audio’s newest family members

The Lunar series from HK Audio comprises three versatile, high-performance loudspeakers with 10-, 12- and 15-inch woofers. These can be flexibly deployed as full-range systems, monitors or as mid/high units in combination with subwoofers from the Portable Sub series. Predefined presets provide direct access to optimally tuned sound settings for various applications such as music, monitor or voice. A 32-bit DSP with FIR filter and phase correction reportedly result in precise, dynamic reproduction with high impact, even at high volumes. Flexible connectivity options, including Bluetooth True Wireless Stereo, also allow for easy integration of a wide variety of signal sources.

The Portable Sub series consists of two subwoofers with 15- and 18-inch drivers. These are not only tailor-made for Lunar but also work alongside the HK Audio Polar MK2 and Sonar systems. Specially developed presets for the respective HK Audio series provide precisely tuned, phase-stable interaction at the touch of a button. A general preset also allows the subwoofers to be easily combined with loudspeakers from other manufacturers. With 1,400W of peak power and a maximum sound pressure level of 131dB, the models are said to deliver a well-defined bass. The integrated DSP technology provides precise impulse response and reliable performance, even at high volumes.

HK Audio loudspeaker presets are also now available within Lake Load Library 5.13, expanding integration options for users working with the Lab Gruppen processing platform. Included as part of Lake Controller 8.1.7, the release adds presets for a range of HK Audio systems including COSMO, C-SUB, CONTOUR X, CADIS, SI SERIES, FINEO, VORTIS and passive LINEAR models.
