PTZOptics expands the Horizon platform

PTZOptics has expanded its Horizon camera control platform with a suite of tools designed to deliver unified management, tracking and control across its camera portfolio.

At the centre of the development is Horizon Hub, a desktop application launcher that extends Horizon software capabilities beyond PTZOptics’ 4K camera range to support all PTZOptics cameras. The platform brings together camera control, voice tracking and device management functions within a single software environment.

A key component is Device Manager, which is designed to simplify camera discovery, configuration, monitoring and management across installations. The tool aims to streamline deployment and maintenance workflows, supporting environments ranging from single room systems to larger multicamera installations.

The expanded Horizon ecosystem also incorporates AI-assisted tracking technologies, including interactive auto-tracking workflows that enable operators to direct camera movements using natural language prompts. PTZOptics has also continued development of its voice-tracking capabilities, allowing camera positioning to respond to active speakers within a space.

The platform integrates with a range of third-party audio systems, including solutions from Audio-Technica and Sennheiser, enabling audio-driven camera control for conferencing, education, healthcare and live production applications.

Beyond automation features, the Horizon platform provides centralised camera control for a variety of production and presentation environments, including enterprise, government, education, healthcare and live events.

The software expansion reflects a broader industry trend towards integrated video ecosystems that combine camera hardware, automation, management and control tools within a single workflow. By extending Horizon functionality across its camera range, PTZOptics is positioning the platform as a unified solution for organisations seeking to scale video production and collaboration systems while reducing operational complexity.
