V1.6 expands SONICUE control and DSP capabilities
Version 1.6 of Dynacord’s SONICUE sound systems software introduces Automixer and Ducker functionality for IX Series networked DSP amplifiers, bringing processing features previously associated with the company’s MXE5-64 Matrix Mix Engine directly into the amplifier platform. The Automixer uses a gain-sharing algorithm with adjustable response characteristics, while the Ducker automatically attenuates background sources in response to microphone activity.
The update also broadens integration capabilities through new TCP, UDP, WebSocket and PJLink protocol blocks within the TaskEngine environment. This enables direct communication with a wider range of third-party devices, including projectors and Visionary Solutions AV-over-IP products, allowing audio and video systems to be managed through a common interface.
SONICUE Control has also gained native support for Android hardware, allowing customised control panels to run directly on Android tablets and touch panels. Separate versions are available for fixed-installation control surfaces and mobile devices, providing an alternative to dedicated hardware controllers.
Additional improvements include the ability to change loudspeaker modes without disconnecting amplifiers, enhanced drag-and-drop functionality within Panel Designer and TaskEngine, and the addition of new demonstration projects for system design and programming.
