BeamZ fixtures power immersive visual experience at Teletech Manchester
BeamZ lighting fixtures were deployed as part of the visual design for a recent Teletech event at Factory International in Manchester, supporting an immersive production created by UK-based lighting and production specialist Visual Spectrum Studio.
Known for its large-scale techno events, Teletech combines high-energy music, lighting and visual effects to create intense audience experiences. For the Manchester show, Visual Spectrum Studio’s brief centred on “world building”, designing an environment that would allow attendees to become fully immersed in the music and atmosphere.
To achieve this, the production team specified a range of beamZ fixtures, including the Kratos, Nuke3 and Nereid380. The Kratos units were used as key lights for the DJs, while the Nuke3 fixtures delivered high-impact strobe effects. Nereid380 luminaires provided narrow beam effects throughout the venue.
The fixtures were integrated into an automated lighting system that allowed them to be positioned low over the audience, increasing engagement and enhancing the show’s visual intensity.
Visual Spectrum Studio cited the Nereid380’s 1° beam angle, IP-rated design and relatively lightweight 22kg construction as key factors in its selection. The fixture’s tight optics enabled sharp aerial effects suited to the scale and energy of the event. The Nuke3, meanwhile, was chosen for its powerful strobe output.
According to the production team, lighting played a central role in shaping the audience experience, with the beamZ fixtures contributing significantly to the immersive atmosphere that has become synonymous with Teletech events.
