PlayBox Neo appoints Besco in South Korea
PlayBox Neo has appointed South Korean broadcast technology specialist Besco as its official reseller partner in the country. The move aims to strengthen the manufacturer’s presence in the APAC region, while targeting opportunities in production, ingest and studio playout.
Through the agreement, Besco will represent PlayBox Neo's portfolio across South Korea, with a focus on introducing the company's media playout, automation and streaming technologies to broadcasters, content producers and media organisations. The appointment forms part of the brand’s wider strategy to expand its footprint across APAC through local channel partnerships and support networks.
“South Korea is emerging as Asia Pacific's next FAST powerhouse, driven by the global K-content growth,” saidPavlin Rahnev, founder and CEO of PlayBox Neo. “As part of our ongoing commitment to the APAC market, PlayBox Neo is proud to have a visibly strong presence with Besco representing us in South Korea.”
Founded nearly three decades ago, Besco has established itself as a supplier of equipment and services to South Korea's film and broadcast sectors. The company has worked with broadcasters, postproduction facilities, cable operators and government organisations, and was an early advocate of end-to-end file-based production workflows.
“We are delighted to be chosen as a trusted channel partner for PlayBox Neo in South Korea and look forward to playing an important role in the company's expansion here,” said Young Bae Kim, CEO of Besco. “We're proud to be working with PlayBox Neo and further enhancing our existing portfolio by extending their proven solutions to the media community in the APAC region.”
