Roland passes the screen test

Roland Professional A/V has added the VC-1SC-4K 4K 60p video converter/scaler to its portfolio to help streamline 4K video conversion and simplify screen setup of LED displays. Designed to match video sources to different screen resolutions with flexible size and position control, the VC-1SC-4K provides 4:4:4 10-bit processing and 12G-SDI/HDMI 2.0 support for cross-format conversion between HD and 4K sources. Housed in a compact metal chassis, the distribution amplifier offers simultaneous output from two SDI and two HDMI signal ports. Audio embedding and de-embedding with XLR balanced I/O is also supported. A dedicated multi-platform control app enables quick adjustment of screen resolution, aspect ratio and ROI (region of interest) cropping. The signal monitoring feature shows the status of video and audio signals, and test pattern generators aid in configuration and troubleshooting. With the library function, setups can be stored and recalled offline and onsite, and data can be shared with installation team members. A dedicated control and monitoring App for iOS, iPadOS, Android, macOS and Windows is available.
