Audio-Technica advances with D50
Designed for high-density RF environments, Audio-Technica has released the D50 digital UHF Wireless System. Featuring up to 224MHz of tuning bandwidth, depending on the region, the D50 enables flexible channel planning in complex RF conditions. Switchable antenna combining diversity and maximal ratio combining (MRC) true diversity modes reportedly improve signal reliability, while high-density mode allows up to 63 simultaneous frequencies within a single 8MHz TV channel. A compact half-rack receiver is available in either a 2-channel (Audio-Technica Link) or 4-channel (Dante-enabled) version, supporting 96kHz audio, redundancy and PoE+ power.
Transmitters in the form of handhelds with interchangeable Artist Elite capsule options, together with goosenecks and bodypacks, can operate for 9.5–17.5 hours on a single battery charge. Additional features include onboard spectrum analysis, AES256 encryption, integrated DSP and Wireless Manager software for monitoring and control.
With the launch of the DES-H series, specialised AV developer Soltec has created a desktop monitor for conference environments, boardrooms and meeting spaces. Creating a complete communications solution, the DES-H advanced screen integrates an Audio-Technica ATUC-M43H gooseneck microphone. Simplifying the entire AV infrastructure, the DES-H combines a touchscreen, audio signal control and meeting management platform. When incorporated into the ATUC-50 ecosystem, the DES-H allows the recording of complete sessions for archiving, review or document traceability. Manufactured entirely in black anodised aluminium, the folding system of the DES-H allows the screen to be completely hidden when not in use, preserving the visual cleanliness of the table.
Extron and Audio-Technica have also announced that their Design Solutions devices, Certified for Microsoft Teams, now include the ATND1061 and Engineered Sound Wireless microphones from Audio-Technica. Extron has worked with Audio-Technica and Microsoft to deliver the technology needed for a robust Microsoft Teams meeting experience in larger spaces.
