Iris expands camera ecosystem with Angekis and Bolin partnerships
Iris has expanded its ecosystem of PTZ camera manufacturers through new partnerships with Angekis and Bolin, enabling selected camera models from both brands to connect directly to the software-based control platform via a firmware update. The integrations make the Angekis Saber X and Bolin B2 camera ranges Iris-Enabled, allowing users to access the platform’s browser-based camera control, remote management and AI-assisted production tools without requiring additional gateway hardware.
According to Iris, the partnerships form part of its strategy to simplify remote production workflows through software-based camera management while maintaining compatibility with existing production infrastructure.
“Our goal is to make professional video production more accessible for users across the industry,” said Noah Johnson, founder of Iris and vice president of video applications at Audinate. “By partnering with Angekis and Bolin, we’re bringing Iris directly into more cameras and making it easier for more production teams across their diverse customer segments to adopt modern, software-based remote production workflows.”
The latest additions bring the number of manufacturers offering Iris-Enabled devices to 10. The platform currently supports more than 400 camera models and integrates with a range of production switchers, IP controllers and software platforms.
“At Angekis, we’re committed to building solutions that help our customers create professional video experiences with greater flexibility and efficiency,” commented Alex Xie, CEO of Angekis. “Adding the Iris-Enabled integration to our Saber X cameras is a natural next step that removes hardware barriers, streamlines remote production and helps customers get even more value from the cameras they already own.”
Sapan Doshi, chief product and revenue officer at Bolin, added: “Making the B2 line Iris-Enabled extends that reliability to where productions are increasingly being run: across multiple venues, multiple operators and multiple control rooms.”
