Boasting a tight bending radius of less than 20mm, Sommer Cable’s Mercator Cat.6a (C6AFU) high-flex patch cable has been designed for flexible, high-performance connections in Gigabit and 10-Gigabit environments, including narrow patch panels, data cabinets and touring racks. Measuring 6mm in diameter including a PVC jacket, the braided shield S/FTP construction and AL/PT foil shielding for each pair provides shielding of all wire pairs to ensure a bandwidth of up to 500MHz. Equipped with compact 25mm RJ45 connectors and a transparent 50mm heat-shrink tubing for individual labelling, the cable offers an optional retrofit with Neutrik etherCON cable connector guard. Complementing the German manufacturer’s existing network product line, the Cat.6a S/FTP high-flex patch cable is available in various lengths is complemented with a durable PUR jacket.

Integrating eight conductors within one durable jacket, the manufacturer has also released the SC-Octave Tube stereo microphone cable. Ensuring a linear transmission with added flexibility, the four audio conductors for the stereo pair each consist of 72 super-fine wires. Meeting complex studio demands, each stereo pair is supplemented by two control conductors, one anode wire and one heating voltage wire. A full shielding made of spiral copper braid plus AL foil reliably protects the signals from electromagnetic interference. Measuring 6.5mm in diameter, the PVC jacket is highly durable and flexible. The SC-Octave Tube is available by the metre or as a ready-made connection cable.
