Powersoft DMD drives multizone audio at Vietnam golf resort

Ha Thanh AV has deployed a Powersoft-based multizone audio system at Royal Golf Ninh Binh in Vietnam. For the project, the integrator leveraged the Italian amplifier manufacturer's Dynamic Music Distribution (DMD) technology to deliver independent background music (BGM) control across the golf destination's clubhouse and private villa.

The installation was designed to provide separate music source selection and volume control for multiple areas, including the reception lobby, restaurant, swimming pool and VIP lounge, while allowing future system expansion. A luxury private villa on the property was also equipped with independent audio zones covering living spaces, bedrooms and other residential areas.

Rather than relying on a central DSP processor or audio matrix, the project uses Powersoft Mezzo Series amplifiers with integrated DMD technology, enabling multiple audio sources to be distributed directly across the network to individual zones. According to the company, this approach reduces hardware requirements, simplifies installation and commissioning, and provides greater flexibility for future expansion.

The clubhouse system comprises three Mezzo 604A amplifiers, six WMP Square wall controllers, KGEAR GC6 loudspeakers, Garvan SIC118 loudspeakers and Work Pro NGS 80L loudspeakers. The private villa is equipped with three additional Mezzo 604A amplifiers, WMP Square wall controllers and Garvan SIC118 loudspeakers.

“Powersoft’s Dynamic Music Distribution proved to be the ideal solution for this project,” said Quang Khanh, system design engineer at Ha Thanh AV. “Thanks to the compact design of the Mezzo amplifiers, integrated DSP and multiple amplifier channels, we were able to build a complete multizone audio system without requiring any external DSP processor or audio matrix. Each area can independently select its own music source and adjust its own volume, while the entire system can be configured quickly and efficiently using ArmoníaPlus. This significantly reduced commissioning time, simplified the overall system architecture and fully satisfied the client’s operational requirements.”

Universal Procurement Systems Vietnam (UPSV), Powersoft's distributor for Vietnam and Cambodia, supported the project, providing systems design consultation, technical support and software training throughout the installation.
