APEX has released a firmware and software update for its CloudPower installation amplifier range. V2.0 introduces support for multiple user profiles with configurable access rights for administrators. The number of groups available across a CloudPower network has been increased to 36, enabling additional zoning and system management options.
Speaker preset functionality has been updated to allow multiple amplifier channels to be included within a single preset, allowing settings for multi-driver loudspeaker systems to be stored and recalled together. Standby mode has been revised to reduce power consumption and provide a 3s startup time. V2.0 also enables Bluetooth functionality for ACW series remote controllers connected to a CloudPower network, allowing audio streaming from compatible devices.
According to APEX, the update includes a restructured codebase intended to improve performance. The release also adds several requested features, including revised rotary encoder response and the ability to adjust input sensitivity.
