Powersoft and Bose Professional brew up sound for KingKong Coffee
Saigon HD has delivered a commercial audio installation for KingKong Coffee on Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island, combining a Powersoft amplifier with Bose Professional loudspeakers to provide background music (BGM) across the hospitality venue.
Designed to create consistent audio coverage throughout the café, the system was supplied using products distributed by Universal Procurement Systems Vietnam (UPSV), the authorised distributor for both Powersoft and Bose Professional in Vietnam and Cambodia.
The installation centres on a Powersoft Quattrocanali 1204DSP amplifier driving eight Bose Professional DesignMax DM5SE surface mount loudspeakers and two DesignMax DM10S-SUB subwoofers. A WiiM Ultra music streamer provides the programme source.
According to Saigon HD, the project required a solution capable of delivering reliable operation in Phu Quoc's humid coastal environment while maintaining discreet integration with the café's interior design.
The Quattrocanali 1204DSP was selected for its integrated DSP, enabling loudspeaker management and system optimisation from a single amplifier. The platform also incorporates a library of manufacturer EQ presets, including settings for Bose Professional loudspeakers, allowing the system to be configured without external processing. Additional features include Automatic Power Sharing technology, which dynamically allocates power between output channels, and support for both low impedance and 70/100V loudspeaker systems from the same amplifier.
The DesignMax system combines DM5SE surface-mount loudspeakers with DM10S-SUB subwoofers to provide full range BGM, while the loudspeakers' IP55 weather resistance makes them suitable for humid and semi-outdoor hospitality environments.
“The client wanted a premium audio system that would deliver outstanding sound quality while complementing the interior design of the café,” said Nguyen Thai Binh, project sales manager at SAIGON HD. “We particularly appreciated Quattrocanali's integrated DSP and its built-in preset library for Bose Professional loudspeakers, which allowed us to configure and tune the system quickly and accurately.”
Following completion of the installation, Saigon HD said the client has expressed interest in adopting the same audio solution for future KingKong Coffee locations.
