AVIXA has partnered with SynAudCon to offer a series of online professional audio training courses, expanding access to technical education for AV professionals worldwide.

Available through AVIXA, the programme includes four self-paced courses covering sound system fundamentals, audio principles, transformer distributed loudspeaker systems and digital signal processing (DSP). The courses are designed for professionals at different stages of their careers, from those new to audio through to experienced practitioners looking to strengthen their technical knowledge.

According to AVIXA, the courses use animations, demonstrations, interactive calculators and practical examples to explain core audio concepts and their real world applications. Each course also includes 90 days of on-demand access, allowing participants to complete the material at their own pace.

Pam Taggart, vice president of content creation at AVIXA, said: “Adding the trusted audio training from SynAudCon to our education offerings advances our commitment to serving the AV community. This agreement creates a seamless pathway to professional audio education and helps build stronger technical foundations, supporting talent development across the pro AV industry.”

Pat Brown, president of SynAudCon, added: “This partnership harnesses AVIXA's extensive experience for providing training for the pro AV industry with our courses that cover the fundamental principles that all audio technologies are built upon. This partnership is a big win for the audio community worldwide.”

In addition to the online training, each purchase includes a one-year membership to SynAudCon’s online forums, where audio professionals can discuss technical topics and share industry knowledge.

The training courses are available for purchase through AVIXA and are offered separately from AVIXA membership benefits.
