Visionary training approved for AVIXA CTS renewal units

Visionary Solutions has announced that its Level 1 Technical Training course has been approved by AVIXA as a CTS Renewal Unit (RU) Provider course. The in-person programme is approved for 3.5 renewal units across Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), CTS-D, CTS-I and Audiovisual Network Professional (ANP) certifications through 31 May 2028.

Designed for system integrators, IT professionals and technical support personnel new to Visionary's AV-over-IP solutions, the Level 1 course introduces participants to the company's product portfolio and the fundamentals of deploying AV systems over IP networks.

Training covers network configuration, VLite installation and operation, encoder and decoder configuration, deployment best practices, third-party control integration and system troubleshooting. Participants also receive hands-on instruction in network design considerations, endpoint configuration and management, VLAN configuration for separating audio and video traffic, and deploying AV-over-IP solutions in bring-your-own-device (BYOD) environments.

“Education is an important part of helping integrators and technology professionals successfully deploy AV-over-IP systems,” said Chuck Larson, director of training and support for Visionary. “The approval of our Level 1 training programme for CTS renewal units provides attendees with an opportunity to expand their technical knowledge while earning continuing education credits that support their professional certifications.”

Visionary said the approval reflects its commitment as an AVIXA RU Provider to supporting the ongoing professional development of AV professionals and CTS credential holders through technical education.

The company offers the Level 1 Technical Training as an in-person certification course, combining classroom instruction with practical exercises focused on the deployment, configuration and operation of AV-over-IP systems.
