The HF1440 from FaitalPRO combines a 1.4-inch exit with an 86mm voice coil, an annular Ketone Polymer diaphragm and a neodymium magnetic circuit capable of generating a flux density of 2.2 Tesla. The result is described as a compact large-format compression driver delivering 120W AES power handling, 109dB sensitivity and an operating bandwidth extending from 700Hz–20kHz.

Engineered as a complete system rather than as a collection of individual components, the large annular Ketone Polymer diaphragm was selected to combine stiffness with controlled internal damping, providing fast transient response while maintaining smooth behaviour across the driver’s operating range. The large 86mm voice coil increases thermal capacity and long-term power handling, while the optimised neodymium magnetic circuit provides control of diaphragm movement, even under sustained high-power operation. Covering frequencies up to 20kHz, the HF1440 combines high-frequency detail with the authority expected from a large-format compression driver, offering a balanced solution for applications where both output capability and sound quality are equally important.
