Yamaha puts Takeden office AV under one roof
Yamaha audio and control systems have been installed at Takeden Corporation's JP Tower Osaka office, with a customised ProVisionaire Control PLUS interface providing centralised control of audio, video and lighting. The installation includes Yamaha MRX7-D signal processors, MTX3 matrix processors, VXC Series ceiling speakers and VXL Series line array speakers.
According to Nobuhiro Takaya, manager of Takeden 's environment creation section, the office also functions as a showroom where Takeden demonstrates workplace solutions. “Here, we offer a variety of office solutions to customers – such as suppliers, contractors and design firms – so they can experience the system firsthand.” explained Takaya.
A USEN tuner connects to an MRX7-D, which distributes background music via Dante to eight AV systems covering the entrance, meeting rooms and office areas. VXL1W-24 line array speakers are installed in the branding and entrance areas, while VXC Series models provide ceiling coverage.
“We started with ceiling speakers and amplifiers, but now we find the MRX7-D signal processor invaluable,” noted Takaya. “The MRX7-D can process audio signals and send commands to specific IP addresses using the External Events function. Furthermore, using ProVisionaire Control PLUS, we’ve created a custom user interface to centrally control audio, video and lighting via a touchscreen.”
Custom touchscreen interfaces have been developed for office areas, meeting rooms, executive rooms and gathering spaces. In the branding area, a single command can adjust the lighting, activate the projector and change audio settings.
The office also incorporates a speech privacy and ambient sound system. Yamaha VXC4W ceiling speakers, VXC8SW ceiling subwoofers and VXS1MLW compact speakers reproduce masking and nature sounds recorded with Nature Sounds nagomi.
“Just like the background music system, the Speech Privacy System also covers the entire office,” said Takaya. “We play masking sounds in meeting rooms and office areas to prevent conversation leaks. In open areas, we play soothing ambient sounds. We partnered with Nature Sounds nagomi, a popular YouTube channel, to record original nature sounds using binaural microphones in the mountains. Sounds like birdsong and wind chimes are played from ceiling speakers, while the sounds of running water or frogs are played from speakers mounted low among plants or under chairs.”
According to Takeden, the integrated approach has simplified system operation while providing individual control tailored to the function of each space.
