Cameo expands OPUS series

With the OPUS H6 IP hybrid moving head and the OPUS SP6 IP spot profile moving head, Cameo has extended its OPUS series to include a new performance class. The 600W, IP65-certified moving heads are aimed at rental, dry-hire and production companies seeking compact, high-performance and fully outdoor-ready spotlights.

The OPUS H6 IP has been specifically developed for applications where a single fixture needs to handle as many tasks as possible. According to Cameo, this makes the model particularly suitable for dry-hire and rental stocks that need to be deployed economically and flexibly across a wide variety of productions. With its 600W LED white light engine delivering 22,000 lumens of light output, the OPUS H6 IP covers a wide range of applications thanks to its large zoom range of 1.8–53°. The continuous pan rotation enables dynamic movements and rapid position. With four prisms on two levels, the moving head can be used to create striking aerial effects and complex beam structures. Weighing approximately 30kg, the model also remains compact and easy to handle.

The OPUS SP6 IP also features a 600W LED white light engine with 22,000 lumens, but its primary emphasis is on precise lighting design in outdoor settings. Created to produce defined projections and controlled illumination, even under changing production conditions, the model comes with a fully lockable framing system with ±87° rotation to enable precise beam shaping, while the large zoom range of 3.5–53° makes both narrow, clearly defined spots and wide-areas of light possible. The continuous pan rotation is said to expand creative freedom in terms of positioning and movement. It has a 165mm front lens, compact housing and a low weight of 31.5kg.

Both new OPUS models are NFC-ready and compatible with the Cameo CONNECT app. This allows users to carry out configurations as well as service and maintenance processes in one place, reportedly offering a significant workflow advantage for productions with tight schedules, frequently changing setups and large equipment inventories. Both fixtures are supplied with a matching flightcase insert.
