Astera doubles QuikBeam capacity

Astera has expanded its QuikBeam lighting range with the introduction of the QuikBeam 8-Unit QuikCase Kit, a portable package designed to simplify deployment for live events, broadcast and film productions.

Building on the QuikBeam luminaire introduced earlier this year, the new kit combines eight QuikBeam fixtures, eight PowerFlow AC power modules, 16 swappable QuikBrick batteries and two ChargingDocks in a single QuikCase. Despite doubling the fixture capacity, the case retains the same footprint as the brand’s existing 4-Unit PrepCase Kit.

The package is intended to support both wired and wireless operation while streamlining transport, setup and battery management. It joins the manufacturer’s existing QuikBeam accessory options, including the 4-Unit PrepCase Kit and the 2-Unit BackPack Kit, while the QuikCase is also available separately for users wishing to reconfigure existing QuikBeam inventories.

QuikBeam features a compact Fresnel design with a 13° to 60° QuikTurn zoom, the Titan LED Engine and OutputGain technology. The fixture can operate using either a QuikBrick battery or the PowerFlow AC module, allowing users to switch between wireless and mains powered operation.

PowerFlow supports daisy chaining multiple fixtures from a single power run using IP65-rated AC cables, reducing cabling requirements and enabling continuous operation at full output. QuikBrick batteries are hot swappable and can be charged via ChargingDock, USB-C or PoE, with integrated Ethernet support for sACN and Art-Net connectivity.

According to Astera, the 8-Unit QuikCase Kit was developed in response to customer feedback following the launch of QuikBeam, with a focus on improving workflow for rental companies and production teams operating on tight turnaround schedules.
