Avolites expands media control with Prism

Avolites has introduced Prism, a media control platform designed to simplify the creation and management of dynamic visuals for lighting and video applications.

Developed for lighting and video professionals, Prism aims to provide an intuitive visual workflow that enables users to control media without requiring advanced programming knowledge. The platform is intended for productions where lighting, video and pixel mapping are increasingly integrated, but dedicated media specialists may not be available.

Prism integrates with the manufacturer’s Titan lighting control platform through Synergy, allowing media and lighting to operate within a unified workflow. It can also function as a standalone media control system for live events, touring productions, theatres, clubs, museums, galleries, attractions and permanent installations.

Key features include pixel mapping tools, timecode triggering, a Media Manager supporting formats including HAP, NotchLC and DXV, AiM encoding for high-resolution playback, 10-bit colour support, adaptable surfaces, layers and regions, 17 blend modes, and output options including physical outputs, NDI and RTSP.

Access to Prism is provided through the updated AvoKey Collection and Travel Collection, available in A1+, A2+, A3+, T1+, T2+ and T3 Bundle configurations. Depending on the licence, users can unlock one, two or three display outputs.

Avolites announced that, later this year, Prism is also expected to add DMX pixel support, offering up to 1,024, 2,048 or 4,096-pixels depending on the licence tier. Pixels can be configured between one and four DMX channels, supporting applications ranging from intensity control to full RGBW operation.
