Audio-Technica adds workflow tools

Audio-Technica has introduced the Dante-enabled ATSP-30DP network ceiling speaker and the 20 Series Control Application for Elgato Stream Deck, targeting both commercial AV installations and content creation workflows.

The ATSP-30DP builds on the recently introduced ATSP-30 ceiling speaker by adding Dante networking for integration with compatible devices, including the brand’s ATDM-1012DAN Digital SmartMixer. Supplied as an active/passive pair, the speakers are designed for small to medium meeting rooms and feature a 140° coverage angle for speech reinforcement, background music and video playback.

The system supports discrete audio routing for zone-based applications, while onboard DSP settings – including four-band EQ, delay, phase adjustment and sound presets – can be configured through the ATDM mixer's Web Remote. The speaker is also compatible with AFMG's EASE acoustic modelling software and Audio-Technica's Speaker Layout Tool for systems design.

Alongside the commercial audio release, the manufacturer has unveiled the 20 Series Control Application, a Stream Deck plug-in that provides direct control of compatible USB microphones from Elgato Stream Deck devices.

Compatible with the AT2020USB-X, AT2020USB-XP and AT2040USB microphones, the application enables users to mute or unmute microphones, adjust input gain and, for the AT2020USB-XP, control Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and Noise Reduction settings. Controls can be assigned to Stream Deck keys, dials or foot pedals using drag-and-drop configuration. Designed for streamers, podcasters, gamers and content creators, the software aims to simplify microphone control during live production and recording workflows, while complementing Audio-Technica's existing USB microphone range.
