L-Acoustics expands education programme in China

China:

L-Acoustics has completed a four-day professional audio training course at the School of Music and Recording Arts at the Communication University of China, as part of its global Education Partner Program.

Held from 13–16 July, the course introduced 12 students to professional sound system design and immersive audio workflows, combining classroom learning with practical training. The programme covered the fundamentals of L-Acoustics systems before progressing to the company's L-ISA immersive sound technology.

The Communication University of China is one of L-Acoustics' Education Partner Program institutions in the APAC region. The initiative aims to bring professional training, certification pathways and industry practices into higher education, giving students exposure to real-world audio workflows before entering the industry.

The course was led by Hu Nan, marketing director at RACPro, and Wang Shuhang, lecturer at the School of Music and Recording Arts. Nan delivered the opening day, covering the fundamentals of L-Acoustics systems and the course structure, while Shuhang led the remaining three days, focusing on L-ISA immersive audio. Following the programme, both instructors completed the certification process to become L-Acoustics Certified Education Trainers.

Daniel Lee, application engineer, L-ISA – APAC, and François Montignies, education and scientific outreach at L-Acoustics, were also present to support the course and assess the instructors against the company's education standards for teaching quality, technical knowledge and content delivery.

Montignies said the programme was intended as professional education rather than product marketing, with a significant emphasis on brand independent audio fundamentals. Alongside product specific training, students were introduced to broader concepts including systems design, spatial audio, deployment methodologies and audience experience.

The course forms part of the French manufacturer’s wider education strategy, which works with universities and higher education institutions to develop practical skills alongside academic study. According to L-Acoustics, the programme is designed to familiarise students with professional audio systems, workflows and certification standards before they begin careers in live sound, theatres, fixed installations and immersive productions.

By expanding its education partnerships across the region, L-Acoustics aims to strengthen the pipeline of trained audio professionals entering the industry while connecting local institutions with its global training and certification network.
