Void appoints Andy Legg to global sales role
Void Acoustics has appointed Andy Legg as global sales operations manager, bringing more than 30 years of commercial and technical experience to the professional audio manufacturer.
Legg began his career as a freelance sound engineer before spending seven years at The M Corporation. He co-founded Absolute Music in 2003 and, as commercial director, helped develop the business into a UK omnichannel professional audio and musical instrument retailer.
Most recently, Legg served as EMEA market manager for the retail vertical at Harman Professional Solutions, working across brands including JBL, AKG, Soundcraft and Crown. His role included developing distributor and reseller networks across the region. He also continues to work as a sound engineer, mixing live events.
In his new position, Legg will support Void’s global sales operation and its international partners and customers. “Void has something genuinely rare. Its products are instantly recognisable and backed by a cult following that extends well beyond the professional audio industry,” said Legg. “I’ve admired the brand for years, so the opportunity to join a company that designs and engineers its products in my hometown of Poole was one I couldn’t pass up.
“What struck me immediately was the energy. Despite being an established global manufacturer, Void has the ambition and enthusiasm of a startup. Dance music and loudspeakers have always been two of my biggest passions, so I’m excited to help take the Void sound beyond the dance floor to an even wider audience.”
Sam Brandon, managing director at Void Acoustics, commented: “It’s great to welcome Andy to the team. He brings a wealth of experience, a real understanding of our industry and shares our commitment to delivering exceptional audio solutions. As we continue to grow internationally, he’ll play an important role in supporting our partners and helping us build on the momentum we’ve created.”
