KLOTZ AIS adds solutions in the box

With the development of the CAM-DB1 series SMPTE distribution boxes by KLOTZ AIS, SMPTE-311M hybrid cables can be adapted to conventional single-mode fibre (SMF) connections for the transmission of audio, video or data signals. Different versions cover common fibre-optic connectors on the output side. Enabling integration into existing fibre-optic infrastructures, EDW, FXW, ST, LC, opticalCON or SmartBeam connectors can be optionally configured. Suited for demanding outdoor environments, all passive CAM-DB1 versions feature an extruded aluminium housing to withstand strong mechanical stress. Providing optimal protection against dust and moisture, the housing and connectors meet IP65 standards when mated. Screws on the bottom of the housing ensure that the SMPTE box can be securely mounted during live operations and dust caps are added to all input and output ports.

Designed for transmitting both analogue and AES/EBU digital audio signal, the 12-channel K12RM digital multicore system is based on the OmniLIVE multicore cable. With a characteristic impedance of 110Ω, the K12RM combines a high-quality construction with effective shielding for interference-free signal transmission. With two RMP 37p circular connectors characterised by gold-plated male and female contacts, the system has been designed to maintain consistently high contact quality for more than 2,000 mating cycles. Achieving an IP67 protection rating, protective caps on both cable ends safeguard the contacts during transport and storage in addition to resistance against dust and moisture. A ZEP plastic strain relief further enhances the system’s mechanical durability.

Available in six or eight discrete 16A circuit versions, the Energy Fan OUT Box portfolio has been expanded in the form of the EBOHM-NF Adapter Boxes. Promoting the safe distribution of electrical power during events and broadcasts, the latest models can be applied in both indoor and outdoor settings. Equipped with Harting HAN 16ES connectors and housed in metal coupling enclosures, the Fan OUT Boxes enable reliable power distribution to or from an Energy Multicore cable, including the EMC8HMFT. The Adapter Boxes are also available with Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 connectors. On the multipin side, a lightweight, impact- and scratch-resistant housing made from environmentally friendly recycled PE offers resistance to temperature fluctuations, weathering and chemicals. For secure rigging installations, the housing is equipped an M10 threaded insert and an integrated safety lanyard attachment point. The power tails are fitted with waterproof Titanex H07RN-F rubber cables with a conductor cross-section of 3x2.5mm².
