PureLink joins SDVoE Alliance as adopting member

PureLink has joined the SDVoE Alliance as an adopting member, strengthening its focus on AV-over-IP.

The German manufacturer, which develops connectivity solutions for AV and IT, has joined the nonprofit consortium of technology providers working to standardise Ethernet-based transport for AV signals. PureLink serves customers in more than 85 countries and offers around 3,000 pro AV products spanning video conferencing, workspace connectivity, USB-C and signal management.

“As customer demand grows for more scalable, flexible and interoperable AV-over-IP systems, SDVoE provides a powerful technology platform that aligns perfectly with our vision for next-generation AV infrastructure,” said Christian Ahrens, CEO of PureLink.

The SDVoE platform is based on a 10Gbps Ethernet architecture, described by the alliance as the “Power of 10”. It is designed to support high-performance AV applications with zero-latency, uncompressed video and scalable system architectures using standard network infrastructure.

For PureLink, the membership provides an opportunity to build on its existing work in AV signal management and connectivity as professional environments become increasingly networked.
