Telestream and ScorePlay partner on live sports workflow
Telestream and ScorePlay have partnered to bring live sports content from capture to publication and commercial activation in near real-time, aiming to help rights holders make more of key moments as they happen.
The collaboration combines Telestream’s Vantage-powered live capture, ingest and media processing with ScorePlay’s AI-powered sports media management platform. The companies say files created on-premises can be made accessible globally in real time to broadcasters, editors, social and digital teams and commercial partners.
The workflow is designed to automatically ingest captured content, add AI-powered metadata and make footage available for clipping, editing, publishing and distribution across broadcast, digital, social and commercial channels. This removes the need to wait for files to be transferred, organised and manually distributed before teams can act on them.
“The instant replay has taken on dramatically new meaning in the digital age, with fans expecting to see game highlights across social media channels within moments of it happening,” said Charlie Dunn, executive vice president of products at Telestream. “It’s an entirely new way to engage audiences, whether you’re a sports team looking to amp up your digital presence, an advertiser looking to capitalise on a shared cultural moment, or a broadcaster looking to deliver the best multichannel viewing experience.”
ScorePlay cofounder and CEO Victorien Tixier said: “Live sports organisations need workflows that are powerful enough for broadcast requirements, flexible enough for digital teams and simple enough for distributed users to access and operate in real time. By integrating with Telestream, we’re giving our customers a powerful live workflow that connects high-resolution, industrial-grade ingest, proxy access, real-time clipping and archive creation inside a single sports-focused platform.”
