Saudi Arabia:

NMK Electronics has promoted Rayan Soumsom to business operations director for Saudi Arabia, expanding his responsibilities as the distributor continues to develop its presence and local capabilities in the Kingdom. Soumsom moves into the position from his most recent role as head of business development, where he worked with end users, consultants and designers to strengthen NMK's market engagement and develop opportunities for its professional AVLC and technology portfolio.

He previously served as group technical director, leading a team of 20 technical specialists across NMK's regional offices. With more than a decade of experience in AV and systems integration, Soumsom has also been involved in the design of large-scale technology projects.

“Saudi Arabia is one of the most exciting and ambitious markets in our industry, and I'm incredibly proud to take on this responsibility at such an important stage of NMK's growth,” commented Soumsom. “Having worked across the technical, business development and customer-facing sides of our organisation, I've been fortunate to understand the business from several perspectives.”

In his new role, he will take greater responsibility for NMK's Saudi operations, focusing on operational development, local capabilities and relationships with customers and vendors. The appointment comes as the distributor targets opportunities created by continued development across Saudi Arabia's entertainment, tourism, hospitality, education, sports and infrastructure sectors.

“Saudi Arabia is a strategically important market for NMK and the wider Midwich Group, and building the right leadership structure is critical to our ambitions in the Kingdom,” said Alex Kemanes, managing director – MESEA at NMK Electronics. “Rayan brings a rare combination of deep technical knowledge, commercial understanding and strong relationships across the industry.”
