Grass Valley appoints Ronny Van Geel to lead camera business
Grass Valley has appointed Ronny Van Geel as vice president, cameras, placing the company's camera product organisation under the leadership of an executive with more than 25 years of experience spanning camera technology, product strategy, product management and media production workflows to the role.
Van Geel moves into the role from his position as director of product marketing, where he worked across the company's wider portfolio and strategy, including its Grass Valley Media Universe and unified media operations. He began his career at Philips DVS in 1999 before moving into product management in 2005. His subsequent roles have covered camera technology, product strategy and media workflows.
“There is an extraordinary depth of knowledge, craftsmanship and passion in the Camera team, built over many years and in close partnership with customers, operators and partners around the world,” said Van Geel. “I'm looking forward to working with those teams to help people realise their creative intent and tell more captivating stories in new ways.”
In his new position, Van Geel will lead Grass Valley's camera product organisation as the company continues to develop its camera systems alongside changing production and content creation workflows.
