Broadcast Solutions welcomes Christer Pålsson

Broadcast Solutions has appointed former NEP Europe president Christer Pålsson as chief sales officer (CSO), as the systems integrator looks to strengthen international sales and collaboration across its growing group.

Effective immediately, Pålsson takes on the newly created role following almost two decades with NEP, where he held senior positions spanning sales, commercial management, operations and production. Beginning his career in Sweden, he went on to become president of NEP Europe and played a key role in the company’s growth in production technology.

At Broadcast Solutions, Pålsson will focus on international sales leadership, improving alignment between the companies and brands within the group and identifying new business opportunities.

“Through acquisitions and organic growth, we have positioned our company to be an innovator and pacemaker in the changing media technology world,” said Stefan Breder, co-CEO of Broadcast Solutions. “We wanted to strengthen our international sales leadership and create better alignment across the group. Pålsson combines a strong understanding of our industry with extensive international commercial experience, making him an excellent fit for this role.”

Co-CEO Maximilian Breder added: “We are excited that we have been able to appoint Christer Pålsson to this new role. His experience will be invaluable as we further develop our four strategic pillars: broadcast, governmental communication, camera support and media technology. We believe he will help us strengthen collaboration across these areas while opening up new opportunities for the group. Across the business we are all very much looking forward to working with him.”

Pålsson said the role would give him the opportunity to work across the wider Broadcast Solutions group, including its hardware and software companies and systems integration businesses.

“Broadcast Solutions has consistently demonstrated its deep industry expertise, its commitment to understanding the needs of television and radio production companies, and its ability to deliver innovative, practical and timely solutions,” commented Pålsson. “I am very much looking forward to getting to know all of the family: the hardware and software companies as well as the systems designers and builders. With such strength in depth, allied to a strong market reputation and proven relationships, I am confident Broadcast Solutions will continue to grow in strength and scope, and I am excited to play a part in that.”
