d&b audiotechnik Korea becomes ECHTEC Korea

South Korea:

d&b audiotechnik Korea has changed its company name to ECHTEC Korea, effective immediately. Led by CEO Daniel Kim, the newly named company will continue to serve as d&b audiotechnik’s official distributor in South Korea.

The change introduces a new corporate identity while maintaining the team, expertise and customer relationships developed during almost three decades representing the German manufacturer in the Korean market. ECHTEC Korea will continue to supply the manufacturer’s products and provide systems design, training, demonstrations, installation assistance, technical support and after-sales service.

“I take the 30 years of dedication and hard work of d&b audiotechnik Korea very seriously,” commented Kim. “Moving forward, I want ECHTEC Korea to engage with customers in a more personal, sincere and authentic way.”

Kim previously served as a team leader and later senior managing director of d&b audiotechnik Korea, having joined the company in 2013. His background spans architectural design, acoustics and music, together with systems integration, technical training and the development and operation of cultural and performance venues.

During his time with the company, Kim has overseen prominent d&b installations at venues including Busan Concert Hall, Busan Asiad Main Stadium, Everland, Manna Church and the National Intangible Heritage Center. His experience also encompasses Soundscape operation and content creation.

“We will build on what we do best, while responding quickly and decisively where we need to change,” continued Kim. “Our ambition is to maintain the high standards established over the past three decades, raise them further and play a pioneering role in the Korean market.”

According to the team, ECHTEC Korea’s new identity represents continuity rather than a departure from the company’s history. Under the new name, it intends to strengthen its services and customer relationships while building on d&b’s established presence in South Korea.
