WyreStorm expands KVM and meeting-room offering

WyreStorm has announced two 4K KVM extenders alongside a software update for its APO-VX20-UC meeting-room platform. In addition, the brand has outlines an integrated workplace solution incorporating Kingbox Speech-to-Text and Space365 Dock.

The EX-40-KVM-H2 and EX-100-KVM-H2 extend 4K video, USB and control over a single category cable. Both support 4K60 4:4:4, HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.3 and HDR10.

The EX-40-KVM-H2 extends 4K60 video and USB 2.0 to 40m over Cat6/6a/7. Its receiver provides four USB device ports, while audio de-embedding, RS-232 pass-through and bi-directional PoC are included for systems integration.

The EX-100-KVM-H2 increases the extension distance to 100m, with a Long-Reach Mode supporting up to 150m. It also incorporates an HDMI loop-out at the transmitter for a local monitor or operator display.

The APO-VX20-UC v2 software update adds further configuration and control functions. These include EDID and HDCP management, video routing and support for a 1280 × 800/60Hz HDMI output resolution. USB routing and manual USB-host selection have also been added, alongside wireless conferencing configuration.

The update also expands CEC control, allowing individual commands to be sent to the unit’s two HDMI outputs. Security additions include 802.1X authentication, access-code requirements and API control of SSH authentication, while Xyte Cloud MAC-address reporting provides additional device information for remote management.

Separately, WyreStorm is collaborating with Kingbox and Space365 on a workplace solution combining WyreStorm AV with Kingbox’s AI-powered Speech-to-Text technology and Space365 Dock for workplace monitoring and management. The latter two technologies are intended to bring meeting transcription and room/resource utilisation data into the same workplace environment.
