Ideal Systems SEA rebrands as AVBuddy Integration
Ideal Systems’ Southeast Asian operations have been rebranded as AVBuddy Integration following a management buyout that has established the Singapore-based systems integrator as an independently owned company. The rebrand covers operations in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and follows CEO and founder Fintan Mc Kiernan’s acquisition earlier this year of the remaining shares in the Southeast Asian business from Ideal Systems Group in Hong Kong.
Mc Kiernan joined Ideal Systems Group 15 years ago with a mandate to establish and develop its Southeast Asian business. The operation has since grown to more than 100 employees across the three markets, with a portfolio spanning broadcast and professional AV systems.
The newly independent company is expanding its focus beyond its broadcast heritage, with demand growing for immersive digital experiences, corporate TV studios, LED displays, content management systems, collaboration spaces, IP networking and AI-enabled AV.
“This is much more than a name change,” said Mc Kiernan. “It marks the next chapter for our business. We are now an independently owned Singapore company with a clear focus on the future of audiovisual technology in Southeast Asia. While our name and visual identity are changing, our people, expertise, engineering capability and commitment to our customers remain the same. AVBuddy Integration reflects who we have become and where our business is heading.”
AVBuddy Integration will serve sectors including corporate, education, hospitality, sports, government, marine, retail, healthcare, airports and houses of worship. Its technology portfolio includes LED displays and videowalls, workplace and collaboration systems, broadcast and production, command-and-control environments, enterprise AV, audio, networking, IP systems, AI-enabled technologies and managed services.
The company will continue to provide system design, project management, installation, commissioning and lifecycle support, while working with technology manufacturers.
The rebrand will roll out across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia over the coming weeks. Existing customers will continue working with the same local teams, engineers and project managers, while existing contracts, warranties, service agreements and customer relationships will continue uninterrupted. Company registration numbers will also remain unchanged, with only the company name changing.
