PTZOptics rises in 4K

PTZOptics has introduced Rise 4K, a flagship PTZ camera combining a 1-inch, 50MP CMOS sensor with professional broadcast connectivity and camera automation. Designed for applications including live production, broadcast, sports and enterprise studios, the camera records 4K UHD video at up to 60fps.

The imaging system features a 20x optical zoom, approximately 71° horizontal field of view and phase-detect autofocus. Optical image stabilisation is supported alongside brushless motors for camera movement, while a three-stage ND filter provides exposure control in changing lighting conditions.

For multicamera production, Rise 4K incorporates timecode and genlock synchronisation, as well as FreeD support for virtual production and augmented reality workflows. Video interfaces include 12G-SDI for 4K60, 3G-SDI, HDMI and USB 3.0. Network protocols include NDI HX, RTMP, RTSP and SRT, with 12G-compatible SFP+ fibre connectivity also provided.

Audio connections comprise professional XLR inputs with 48V phantom power. The camera also features onboard TF card recording and front and rear tally lights.

Rise 4K ships with PTZOptics’ Horizon Web browser-based interface, which provides camera movement and image adjustment controls alongside presets, tracking, auto-framing and automation. Monitoring and matching tools include waveform, vectorscope and RGB parade displays. AI-based auto-tracking is also available for maintaining subject framing. The camera can additionally be integrated with the company’s Horizon Hub desktop applications for camera control, configuration and workflow management.

Rise 4K is available to order now and is scheduled to begin shipping in Q4 2026.
